Systers Scholarships & Awards

Schuman Conference Scholars

Schuman Conference Scholars are funded by Systers UTK to participate in, travel to, and register for conferences focussed on EECS topics. Priority will be given to members whose research is being presented at a conference.

Systers Engineering Scholars

Systers members are eligible to apply for Engineering Fees to be covered by the Systers organization. Members are eligible regardless of financial aid status. Awards apply only to one semester, but applicants may receive the award multiple times.

University and Department Awards

Bodenheimer Fellows

The Bodenheimer Fellowships, valued at $10,000 per year per person, are combined with GTA/GRA positions bringing the total package to more than $46,000 per year. The fellowships are awarded to superior or deserving EECS graduates from UT to encourage them to stay on for graduate school at UT.

National Awards

Barry Goldwater Award

Sophomores and juniors studying mathematics, natural sciences, or engineering are eligible for the Barry Goldwater Award and to receive $7500 in funding per academic year.

NSF GRFP

The National Science Foundation’s (NSF) Graduate Research Fellowship Program provides three years of financial support inclusive of an annual stipend of $37,000 for graduate students studying within the United States.
